Like I said before, studying is vital to your success. You have to put forth an effort to actually succeed. Duh. Just don't be irresponsible. Do your work. Now hit the showers, kid.
Ask questions
You know that really awkward silence when the teacher asks, "any questions?" and nobody raises their hand? Make sure there's none of that in GOPO. "But Tessa," you say. "I'm awkward! I can't talk in class!" Well, my dude, nobody cares but you. You aren't going to get laughed at because you need Brock to explain labor unions. So raise your hand, you weenie. You need to ask questions in order to understand the content.
listen in class
I struggled a lot with listening in class; if you know me, you know I am a master of dissociation. But take my words to heart: THIS IS NOT THE CLASS TO ZONE OUT IN. This may be why I still do not understand committees. I ask that you learn from my mistakes and pay attention in class. When you learn how all the different committees in Congress work, let me know. I'm lost.
don't mention hamilton
Lastly, and most importantly, DO NOT MENTION HAMILTON. You think you're hilarious. You aren't. You are annoying. You are the reason I hate admitting I like Hamilton. Do not disrupt class to ask if you can watch a Hamilton bootleg in class. No you can't. Watch 1776 and stop ruining everything for Tessa. She will personally attack you if you mention Hamilton, or take a step towards any of her favorite characters. [mic drop]
(Seriously though, don't disrupt class for a joke. You have all the time in the world to be a comedian, don't do it in GOPO. Please and thank you.)
